I am a South African expat residing in Uithoorn, the Netherlands. I have an independent practice in that focuses on supporting expat children, adolescents and their families. I also support young adults between the ages of 20 and 25.

Megan Stapelberg is an experienced expatriate from South Africa who has called the Netherlands her home for the past 4.5 years. She intimately understands the challenges and resilience required when adapting to a foreign country. Megan recognizes that children, adolescents, and young adults who choose to leave their home countries and establish themselves elsewhere face numerous obstacles. How they overcome these challenges becomes pivotal in determining their ability to adapt and thrive in their new environment.

With a diverse professional background, Megan brings valuable expertise to her work. She has extensive experience as a high school teacher and has served as a Learning Diversity Specialist at a Dutch International School. Furthermore, Megan holds an Honours degree in Educational Psychology, obtained from Stellenbosch University in South Africa, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Webster University in Leiden, the Netherlands. These qualifications equip her with the necessary skills to provide comprehensive support to children, adolescents, and young adults. Megan is passionate about guiding her clients through the intricacies of life in the Netherlands, helping them flourish and thrive in this new chapter of their lives.
